Sun Koolkare Dual Gas air conditioning service station

The Sun Koolkare Dual Gas 12 is an air conditioning service station that can be used to check, maintain and repair both HFO1234yf and R134a automotive air conditioning systems. Externally, the Koolkare Dual Gas 12 looks very similar to its predecessor, but technically it is a completely new service station with a number of innovations and improvements.

The technology in the new Sun Koolkare Dual Gas 12 is largely based on that of the Sun Qtech IV and Sun Breeze IV machines, making this machine – which is suitable for two refrigerants – even faster and more accurate.

The 7-inch touchscreen has been given new graphics and the menu navigation has become even more intuitive. The mechanic is guided step by step through the service process and is shown what to do at each step. The touchscreen is designed to be easy to operate and read even with greasy hands. Thanks to larger characters and menu buttons, menu navigation has become even easier and faster.

More economical, safer and more efficient

Thanks to its energy-saving 12-volt solenoid valve technology, the Sun Koolkare Dual Gas 12 is an efficient and safe air conditioning service station for both HFO1234yf and R134a systems. This technology ensures that the machine consumes significantly less power, generates less heat and is therefore much safer to use. In addition, the Dual Gas 12 is equipped with a built-in hybrid function that automatically flushes the internal refrigerant circuit and service lines – a requirement when servicing systems with an electric compressor.

The comprehensive database containing system information on passenger cars, vans, trucks and agricultural vehicles remains unchanged. Thanks to WiFi, the service station can now also be connected to a smartphone, tablet or computer via a web interface. This allows the mechanic to view the status, refrigerant level and service information in real time.

Refrigerant analysis instrument

The Sun Koolkare Dual Gas 12 can be optionally equipped with a refrigerant recognition module. The module analyses whether and which refrigerant is present in the air conditioning system and whether the refrigerant is clean or contaminated. A refrigerant recognition module can prevent contaminated and/or incorrect refrigerants and gases from entering the air conditioning service equipment and other vehicles.

In addition to emptying and filling, the Sun Koolkare Dual Gas 12 tests air conditioning systems with optional equipment under pressure using a nitrogen or hydrogen/nitrogen mixture. And because time is money, SUN has implemented a new patented ‘Vacuum Assistance’ feature that makes emptying the air conditioning system even faster without compromising the quality of the vacuum process. To enable a quick switch from one refrigerant to another, the automatic internal cleaning process takes a minimum of time.
