Sun Blizzard Qtech IV aircoservicestation

SUN BLIZZARD QTECH IV

The Sun Blizzard Qtech IV is the top model of the latest generation of Snap-on Tools air conditioning service stations for HFO1234yf and R134a automotive air conditioning systems. The air conditioning service station is constructed from high-quality components and designed for today’s and tomorrow’s passenger cars and vans. These features make the Sun Blizzard Qtech IV a valuable investment that can quickly deliver a high return.

Fully automated air conditioning service

The investment in the Sun Blizzard Qtech IV quickly pays for itself, with high returns and profits from that moment on. This is because it is easy to operate and because the Blizzard Qtech IV empties the air conditioning system completely automatically, recycles the refrigerant and refills the system. Anyone can operate the Blizzard Qtech IV, and while the machine is working, you can do other things. Two large analogue gauges allow you to monitor the machine’s performance remotely. Thanks to the relatively large distance between the front and rear wheels, the Blizzard Qtech IV is highly manoeuvrable and can be easily manoeuvred around the workshop.

The Blizzard Qtech IV is operated via the 7-inch colour touchscreen on top of the machine. The service station is modular and can be expanded with options to meet the specific wishes and requirements of each individual user. For example, the printer prints test results and proof of service that can be given to the customer. Thanks to the standard WiFi, a connection can be made to external applications.

Once connected to the machine, a smartphone can be used to view the service status of the Blizzard Qtech IV, among other things. The smartphone also functions as a remote control. It also shows how much refrigerant and oil is present, and the machine’s service data can be exported, stored and shared via the smartphone.

Performing air conditioning service quickly and accurately

Sun air conditioning service stations operate according to the CAR (Compressed Assisted Recharge) principle. This means that the air conditioning system can be filled quickly and accurately. This advanced technology is made possible by an innovative solenoid system. Thanks to this new technology, the power consumption of the Blizzard Qtech IV is 20 per cent lower than previous models. The Sun Blizzard Qtech IV is easy to maintain.

An indispensable option is the gas analyser, which identifies the contents of the air conditioning system before it is recovered. The analyser is managed by the air conditioning service station and prevents contaminated refrigerant or other non-approved refrigerants and gases from being recovered. As soon as contamination is detected, the analyser will automatically terminate the air conditioning service process.

Hybrid and electric cars

More than half of the air conditioning systems in hybrid and electric cars have a high-voltage air conditioning compressor. To protect mechanics, these systems must be filled with refrigerant containing non-conductive oil. Air conditioning service stations that work on hybrid and electric cars must flush hoses, couplings and internal pipes after servicing to prevent oil from remaining in the service station.

Sun has designed a unique option that allows the Blizzard Qtech IV to be adapted within minutes to service R134a and HFO1234yf air conditioning systems in hybrid and electric cars.
