Snap-on iDuctor: Powerful, handy induction heater
Every mechanic knows it and regularly encounters it: ferrous parts that need to be replaced due to moisture and dirt, but are stuck fast and impossible to remove. Snap-on has a solution for this in the form of the iDuctor Power+ W2300.
Thanks to feedback from engineers about previous models, this iDuctor is even better, more practical, faster, safer, more multifunctional and more user-friendly. With the iDuctor, you can heat rusted parts locally – and therefore very safely – but also very quickly. Parts can be heated to up to 600 degrees in tens of seconds.
The iDuctor Power+ W2300 (Watt) is the most powerful handheld induction heater on the market. There are cheaper induction heaters available, but they have much less power and do not offer the same quality as the iDuctor described in this article. Keep this in mind if you are considering purchasing an induction heater. The Snap-on franchisee can tell you all the ins and outs and, of course, give you a demonstration.

Heating without an open flame
The iDuctor heats without an open flame by means of electronic induction heating. This allows heat to be generated quickly and precisely where it is needed. An important feature of induction heating is that only the outer parts of the structure are heated. This is in contrast to heating with an open flame. Think, for example, of cutting torches, which heat everything and can therefore cause much more damage than necessary.
The iDuctor Power+ W2300 has a number of new, unique features. The higher power output is one of the most important, as it now allows even larger and heavier components to be heated and loosened safely. The higher power output also means that the accompanying FlexCoils can be wound more tightly around the material to be heated. The FlexCoils are available in various sizes and can heat the material even more efficiently.

New iDuctor, new unique features
To deliver 2300 watts of power, equipment such as the iDuctor must be of the highest quality from start to finish. The iDuctor is developed and manufactured in the Netherlands, is CE approved, and all materials used meet the most stringent requirements set by laws and regulations. From the plastic housing to the advanced heat-generating internal electronics and from the heating coils to the connection cable, everything has been designed with the wide variety of conditions in which the iDuctor can be used in mind.
A patented microprocessor-controlled induction cycle ensures that the iDuctor cannot be overloaded. In the event of misuse, the device will switch itself off and prevent burnout. Because the power can be regulated and the switch-off time can be set manually, you can achieve the best results with the iDuctor.
Considerable attention has also been paid to ease of use. For example, an iDuctor has a unique clamping mechanism that allows you to change the spirals quickly and easily by hand, without the use of tools. This is not only convenient and efficient, but also ensures a secure connection every time. The housing of the handy iDuctor is also ergonomically designed.

Connection cable separately replaceable
Because connection cables often break in workshops, the iDuctor has a plug connection on the housing. If the connection cable needs to be replaced, this can be done in no time at all. The advantage of this is that the iDuctor does not need to be completely dismantled or replaced.
Applications of the iDuctor induction heater include: work on chassis, exhaust systems, steering systems of passenger cars, vans, trucks, trailers, tractors, cranes and heavy-duty vehicles. The iDuctor is already widely used in the automotive, transport & logistics, agricultural mechanisation, heavy-duty, nautical, petrochemical, infrastructure and aerospace sectors.
