Expansion Snap-on Information System Car-database
The Snap-on Information System Car database has been significantly expanded this quarter. The update adds more than one new car brand, 10 new models, 203 new variants and over 50,000 new manuals. This means the database’s coverage has once again grown considerably.
One of the notable additions is VinFast, a Vietnamese manufacturer of electric SUVs. The brand was founded in 2017 and is part of the Vingroup conglomerate. VinFast focuses entirely on electric mobility and is now active in several international markets. The two latest models, the VF6 and the VF8, have now been added to the database.
In addition, the following models have been added this quarter: the BMW XM, BYD Sealion 7, Dacia Bigster, Daihatsu Delta, Fiat Topolino, Foton Aumark, Nissan Atlas and Subaru Solterra. A diverse range representing both well-known European and Japanese brands and emerging Chinese manufacturers.
This quarter, there was a strong focus on technical service bulletins (TSBs). TSBs contain important information about known issues and recommended solutions, making them a valuable resource for workshop technicians. With over 2,000 new TSBs, the coverage of the Smart module has been significantly expanded.
The full update also includes:
- 30,400 new technical data entries
- 18,000 new electronics records
- 3,700 new Smart procedures
